Now that it's a week and a half later, I figured I'd post about our 4th of July. We actually went down to Delta and spent the 4th with most of my family. Four of the six siblings were there with their friends and families. We had a lot of fun just hanging out and playing games and cooking. Of course, we forgot to take the camera to the parade where everyone was. So you'll just have to deal with pictures of Sophie and Dave before the parade. Aren't they cute?
Her hat was a bit big, and it wouldn't stay on, but I figured she should have it on for a picture at least.
We went down to Delta the day before the 4th celebration and got up the morning of to go down to the parade. I don't know if Sophie enjoyed it too much. The fire truck sirens scared her and she slept through most of it. We spent some time at the park after the parade and walked around looking at the booths and visited with people. After that, we went home and had lunch with everyone, played games, then almost everyone else went to the demolition derby. We usually go, but it's not really the place to take an infant. Anyway, we had a good time and it was good to see everyone. For a lot of my family, this was their first time meeting Sophie. It was fun to see them play with her. That's about it. Sorry we don't have more pictures with more people. Although, if my mother would be so kind as to send me some, I'll post more.
