So I just realized that I didn't take pictures for the whole month of September.  Oops.  Not a good thing when you have a really young child.  They change so fast.  And Sophie is doing so many funny things that I've missed taking pictures of.  For example, if you clench your fists and make a face, she'll copy you.  It's so funny.  That's what she's doing in this picture.  She also does the Home Alone face, but I didn't get a good picture of that.
And she just likes to be silly.  Also, she's getting more girly by the day.  Haha......serves me right I guess.  She loves having bows in her hair and wearing her bracelets.  The necklace she's got on is actually one that I made for her Halloween costume.  I tried it on to make sure it fit, and she didn't want to take it off.

What a goof.  I swear she gets more like me every day..........uh, I mean more like a toddler every day...........right.  You know, stubborn, willful, silly, independent.  Oh, how my mother is probably laughing right now.  She is awfully sweet though, when she wants to be.  She loves to snuggle, LOVES books and having anyone read to her, loves animals (both stuffed and real), she loves to eat, loves shoes, loves to go outside, loves to play in the sand and swing and go down slides........and let's face it.  She loves pretty much everything.  She even loves going to bed.  She's learned a few new things lately.  Today, she got a hold of the word "up" for the first time and wouldn't stop saying it.  For the past week or two she's been loving the itsy bitsy spider and started doing the hand actions on her own.  SO CUTE!  But heaven help you if you try to do them with her.  She'll stop and throw a fit and say "NO!" until you stop and let her do it by herself.  Not surprising really.  I've heard my favorite thing to say when I was little was "I'll do it myself!".  My mom likes to laugh about that too.

I digress.

Sophie is just over 17 months now.  She goes to nursery in a few weeks.  Hooray!!!  Well.......I guess I'm excited about her eventually going nicely to nursery.  The weeks or months it takes for her to go by herself?  Not so much.

I'm almost done making her Halloween costume.  It is adorable if I do say so myself.  Don't worry.  I won't forget to take pictures of that.  It's Dave's swearing in that day too.

I'm sure there's tons of stuff I'm forgetting to tell you about, but it's late.  I can't remember.

She's really starting to come into her "SELF" awareness. Guess what? It goes on for their whole lives. It's great to watch, just like reading YOUR last blog!

Love you, Dad
