Thoughts

So, we're back here in Omaha.  For the most part, we really miss being in Utah with our friends and families.  We just wanted to let everyone know that we enjoyed our time this summer. We appreciate Dave's parents for putting up with us for 2 months and taking over their house, and also my parents for the same, just for shorter periods of time. We're going to miss spending time with everyone, playing games, going places, and just being able to see you all on a regular basis. We're lonely already. But hopefully we'll be back for good come May.  However, there are a few things that we love about being home.  The number one reason:  sleeping in our own bed.  Not that other beds we've been sleeping in have been awful, but there really is nothing like your own bed.  Another thing that we've really missed is our shower head.  It's detachable, which means it's tons easier to bathe Sophie.  And it sprays perfectly.  I know, silly thing to miss.  Also, I've missed my garden.  I wish it was still perfectly groomed like it was when I left.....however, it's now overgrown with weeds, which will not be fun to remove.  Anyway, we're home, Dave has started school again, and we definitely had a moment of "we're not in Utah anymore."  We were driving down Broadway in Council Bluffs and I glanced over at a bicyclist we were passing.  Unfortunately, his little biker shorts had either worked their way down or he had pulled them down to get some air.  Either way, they were down enough that I couldn't tell he was wearing anything from behind.  I almost died of horror.  Dave almost died laughing.  The end.

Maybe you could put on your ruby red slippers, close your eyes, repeat "There's no place like home." three times, and get back to "Kansas."

You might have seen the same thing in Utah if you'd been in the right place. People from all over are always biking here.
