6 Months

6 months has gone by so fast.  I can't believe it.  Officially, she is up on her hands and knees.

And she's still not smiling for the camera.

But we still caught her smiling for other things.

Look!  Teeth!  (Hard to see, I know.  But it was the only way to get a picture of them.)

Heehee...
This is now her typical sleeping pose.  Silly girl.  Sleeping with your face squashed and your bum clear up in the air.
We've started giving her a pacifier for her naps and at night just to give her something to occupy her.  I  always thought she dropped it as she fell asleep, but apparently she's rather attached to it and always finds it again.  She usually has it when we go and get her.

Awwww.....she's so cute.  Anyway, she had her doctor's appointment yesterday.  She DID NOT like it.  As soon as we set her down on the table with the paper, she started screaming.  I'm guessing it brought up reminiscences of past visits and getting painful shots.  It traumatized her so much that she peed all over their scale.  haha.  Unfortunately, she did have to get more shots.  4 to be precise.  More than any other time.  And they made her feel icky later in the day.  Other than that though, she's doing good.  She's hit all of her milestones for this age and he said she looks great.  Her head circumference is 44.5 cm (93.82%), which is way up from last time.  I think it was in the 60%'s.  Her weight is 17 lb 12 oz (82.97%).  And........wait for it.......her height is 28.5" (99.74%).  Holy Cow!  When he showed me her little growth curve, her height was off the chart.  Literally.  She's the tallest kid in America.  Okay, with a few others.  Anyway, he says she's healthy, and that we can start giving her more foods, like meats and juice and water (guilty already).  Finger foods around 8 months (also guilty).  I got the idea that we can give her whatever we want as long as she can "chew" it or doesn't have to, and as long as it's not on the huge no-no list, like honey and egg whites, chocolate,......stuff like that.
So yeah, that's all for now.  There will be a Halloween post in the next few days that will include her costume, which I made for her.  From scratch.  With no pattern.  Can anyone say CRAZY?  Or you could say AWESOME.  That would work too.

Cute! Yes, I want to see the Wonder Woman costume. I assume she helped pass out candy?
She's just growing up too fast. It looks like she's going to be a tall one too. I liked the sleeping position! It must be comfortable. I can't wait to see her in person, but I guess I'll have to wait awhile longer.
