A week before we moved (we moved the 14th of May), Mark and Lisa (Dave's parents) flew out so they could help us pack up and clean and see Dave graduate. And boy did they help us. I don't know how we would have done it without them. During the week, we went to the zoo one last time. It was Sophie's first time at the zoo, and she loved it! We of course went to their amazing aquarium first, where she saw penguins....
and lots of really fun bright fish, which she loved. We went and played with their giant rotating watery globe and she was fascinated.
One of her favorite animals was the warthog.
This is her waving to them. She only waved at one other animal. The rabbits in the Desert Dome. Totally random.
She wasn't sure about the orangutans. Sorry, there isn't one in the picture. They were making tons of noise and there were lots of people crowded around them, so we had to take what we could get.
This is her..............not petting a goat.
Anyway, I'd say that overall it was a success. She was enthralled the whole time with all of the animals and then went right to sleep for several hours when we got home. :)
More posts to come later. The next one will probably be graduation.
