A couple days before Halloween, we carved some of the pumpkins we got from our garden. I think we got 8ish or so from the garden? I was impressed by how well the pumpkins grew. We ended up carving 4 of them for the porch. We had a lot of fun carving them. Me and Dave carved one each, Lisa did one, and then I carved one for Sophie. She was interested in what we were doing, but she lost interest once she figured out that we wouldn't let her eat the insides. :) Anyway, here are some pictures to record the momentous occasion.
I hadn't planned on doing Mickey Mouse. It just kind of happened on a spur of the moment thing. But Sophie really loved it. She couldn't stop pointing and oohing and aahing over it. Like I said in the last post, she really loves Mickey Mouse. :) We had fun, and it was extra cool because we grew our own pumpkins!

Your pumpkins look great! I'm such a slacker mom and haven't done pumpkin carving for a few years. Oops. Maybe I'll do better next year and make a cool one like Mickey. You did so well!
