Sophie has been doing a lot this past month. She's still rolling over like crazy, but she's learning to love being on her stomach on the floor. It allows her to play unrestrained. She plays with toys (mostly she just tries to eat them or bang them over and over), and when she's exploring something new, she hits it repeatedly (like the sacrament meeting program - it's really loud). She has started to push herself up on her hands when she's on her stomach - the beginning of crawling! Mostly, she just scoots around in a circle on the floor. She's tried some new foods, including applesauce and peaches. She doesn't really like either of them. Rice cereal is still her favorite. She's also enjoying splashing during her baths. And she's been sleeping through the night almost all the time (although she's had a relapse the past few nights because she's been sick). We've also discovered that she has a little bit of stranger danger. Our neighbor came over to watch the BYU game with us and she cried when he tried to talk to her and play with her. More than once. But she seems to do a little better with girls. For the most part when other people are around, she's very quiet and observant.........except she feels she needs to put her two cents in during prayers. Very funny Sophie. Oh! And she's almost almost almost sitting up on her own. Yeah Sophie!
Most of these pictures are the typical Sophie pose.....arms and legs out and up like she doesn't want to touch the ground.
She wasn't being very smiley for these pictures. Just observant and wiggly.
