Milestones!

Sophie stood on her own today for the very first time! She's stood in the past when she's on the couch with us, but she leans into us or the couch, so it doesn't count.  Tonight after her bath, we were brushing her teeth in the bathroom and Dave stood her on the counter so I could wipe all of the water off the front of her (I was trying to rinse her mouth out a little by having her drink out of a little cup.......it didn't work), when she saw herself in the mirror.  And as she was admiring herself, like any self-respecting cutest baby in the world should, and looking at the both of us in the mirror as well, Dave let her go. She stood for a good 5 seconds or so until her knees got a little shaky and he had to catch her.  She did it several times after, so we know it wasn't a fluke.  Hooray for Sophie!
