11 Months

Sophie turned 11 months yesterday.  Here are some fun things about her:

  • She has learned how to point.  So when she wants something, sometimes she'll point to it.  Or sometimes she just points at you and laughs.  Not very flattering, but very funny.  And if she sees a picture of herself, she'll also point and laugh.
  • Her hair is long enough to put pigtails in, which I love!  She screams through the whole process, but then doesn't touch them all day.  I think she's just stubborn.
  • She can eat with a spoon!  Sort of.  We have to put something on the spoon, and then she can pick it up and get it to her mouth and only stick it in sideways.  But hey, whatever works.
  • Some of her favorite foods:  cheese, chicken, anything we're eating, cottage cheese, bananas, cheerios, any fruit really, carrots.
  • She loves to hang upside down.  She thinks it's hilarious.
  • Her favorite toys are:  not toys.  She's had an obsession with my chapstick this week, and at the moment, she's chewing on my tape measure.  And she spent most of yesterday putting things in my shoes.  She also likes her rubber ducks, cell phone, slider thingy, spinner, rings, books, and any stuffed animal she can get her hands on.
  • She loves being hit with pillows.  I know, weird.
  • She has pretty much gone down to one nap a day, which is sad.  It makes it a lot harder to make dinner now that she's not sleeping then.
  • She has 8 teeth with a huge gap in the front.
  • She is not walking yet, but she does hold on and walk around everything she can find and frequently stands at the back door just looking out and pounding on it.
  • She says mama and dada regularly, but it's hard to tell if she associates them with us.  But I swear when Dave comes home, she says something that sounds like Hi Daddy.
  • She loves other kids.
That's about all I can think of at the moment.  And I don't have a picture.  I'll take one after she wakes up and post it later.
