THE BAR APPLICATION IS OFFICIALLY DONE AND MAILED! (and on time, I might add) Our only worry now is that we hopefully filled it all out correctly. Those lawyers.......not very clear on their wording and instructions sometimes. :) Onward to our next big ticket item: Project Bathroom.
In other news, I finally got my new glasses! (stinkin' Walmart) I broke them 2 weeks ago (no, I did not sit on them, drop them, crush them, or otherwise abuse them in any way - I was cleaning them and they snapped in half) and have been living with a pair that were, oh, I don't know, 15ish years old? Not fun, not stylish, and not helpful. And they caused some massive headaches. But my new ones are here and it's great!
So the only bad thing that's happened this week was Sophie's fall (face first) into the bedframe on Thursday. Lots of blood and lots of tears later, we finally determined that none of her teeth were broken or missing and that it was just the inside of her mouth that got cut up by her teeth. So she has a bit of a fat lip. However, she seems to have a little bit of a swollen nose and cheek as well, so I'm sure those got bumped pretty hard too. But she's fine. No worries.
Sophie has started to say Dada more often for the past week or so.......but it's hard to tell if she's doing it consistently enough to realize what she's saying. Mama is definitely consistent. Dada is a hit and miss. But it's fun when she does. She's also been skipping her afternoon nap here and there lately. No more double naps?! Heaven forbid.
We went to the opera last night (Don Giovanni) and left her with our usual babysitter. She usually does really well, but apparently this time she cried quite a bit. Hello separation anxiety.
I just realized she's 10 months in 2 days............we just told someone at Walmart she was 9 months. haha. Time goes too fast. Speaking of Walmart, I was looking at their baby clothes and found a table with some really cute shirts on it, but I couldn't decide which color I wanted to get. So I took one and held it up to Sophie and said "Yeah, that color looks good on you.......oh wait, it doesn't matter. You're a baby." And the lady on the other side of the table laughed. But it wasn't a laugh with you sort of laugh. It was a laugh at you one, that she tried to cover up quickly.......Story of my life. I'm glad I made someone's day at least.
My flowers are coming along in the basement. Sorry, no posts about it yet. I'll try to soon.
10 month post will be soon.
Upstairs bathroom post soon maybe?

I feel for you on the nap issue...Payton went down from 2 naps to 1 at around 10 months and he is currently trying to get out of that one too.
It's great that you finished the bar application. That's exciting! Also exciting that you got your glasses. I thought you were going somewhere that made them in an hour. Bummer. Start making sophie wear a helmet and bubble wrap. It's so sad when little kids get hurt. Have you taken pictures of her injured face?
I would've laughed at your shirt comment also. I wouldn't have tried to hide it though. That's pretty funny.
I'm excited to see posts about the upstairs bathroom. What are you going to do?
Paint everything, new baseboards, new shower rod, new peel and stick tiles for the floor. It's needed a paint job and a new floor since we moved in.
The place we were going to go to for my glasses didn't accept Medicaid, so we had to go to Walmart, couldn't get an appointment for several days, then took awhile to get the glasses in. So 3 days turned into 2 weeks.
Sorry about Sophie's injury and your glasses, but I'm glad all is well. Remember than fat lip Tana had once? I think I have a picture somewhere, although it wasn't from an injury. We think she got bit by some kind of bug. It is so sad when babies become toddlers and they're always hurting themselves.
Are you fixing up the bathroom so your house will sell better? Have you had any askers, lookers, or takers yet?
Lots of askers and lookers. No takers. The bathroom has had it coming for a long time, and we finally got around to it. And it might help it sell. We hope.
Congratulations on your finished Bar Application too!!
